We’re excited to share another update on the progress of our farm shop, café and restaurant build. We’re still aiming to open in time for the start of Summer, and while a few unforeseen challenges have slightly adjusted our timeline, we’re currently on track for a mid-late June opening.
Over the past month, much of our work has been focused on essential behind-the-scenes elements – the kind that might not be immediately visible, but are crucial to creating a welcoming and functional space. This includes progress on plumbing, insulation, and electrical systems. We’ve also started painting the windows, laying more of the base flooring, building internal walls, installing plasterboard, and reviewing our kitchen equipment to ensure everything is just right.
Outside, things are beginning to take shape too, with the first of our planting going in – a small step towards creating the calm, green environment we envision.
We’ve been truly heartened by the growing interest and support from the local community. Your enthusiasm means the world to us, and it’s keeping us motivated as we move into these final stages. Every week, it feels like we’re getting a little closer – and we really can’t wait to welcome you to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Tamar Valley with a cup of tea or coffee.
