We’ve been making great progress this month thanks to the drier weather, and it’s really starting to take shape around here! Outside the building, we’ve been busy cladding, painting window frames, installing guttering, and putting in new access ramps to make the space more inclusive and welcoming to everyone.
We’ve also started putting up bamboo fencing and are exploring the exciting possibility of solar panels for the roof.
Out by the outdoor seating area, we’ve done a big tidy-up of the hedge and surrounding trees to open up the stunning view over the Tamar Valley. A few problem trees were removed or cut back to give our beautiful oaks the space and light they need to thrive.
And we have some big news – we’ve officially named our café and farm shop: Harlings Kitchen and Farm Shop. The name reflects the strong family and community spirit at the heart of everything we do. We can’t wait to share more about the branding and story behind the name as we get closer to opening.
